This notice describes how we use information to operate URSY Photos.
Your photo library
We process your uploaded image files, checksums, image dimensions, file type, timestamps, album membership, storage usage, trash state and sharing settings to store and organise your library. Images may contain location or camera metadata. Previews remove embedded EXIF; originals retain the bytes you uploaded. A checksum identifies an exact file match within your own library.
Photos uses the service-specific identity supplied by URSY ID. Your ID password is not sent to Photos. Approved applications can access only the scopes and resources you allow. A sharing link makes its authorised previews available to people who hold that link.
Retention and deletion
Your library is retained while you use the service. Photos moved to the bin remain recoverable for 30 days before the scheduled purge. Incomplete uploads expire after 24 hours. Disconnecting an application revokes access but does not delete the library. Account closure and requests concerning retained backups can be made using the contact below; deletion from the live service and expiry of backup copies are separate processes.
Purposes and legal bases
We use information necessary to provide your requested account and storage services to perform our agreement with you. Security, fraud prevention and proportionate operational diagnostics serve our legitimate interests in keeping the services reliable and protecting users. We use permissions you choose to control optional application access and sharing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. We may also process information to meet legal obligations.
Service providers and cookies
Hosting, network delivery and transactional email providers process information needed to deliver and protect the service. Necessary cookies maintain sign-in sessions and protect sign-in transactions. Public information pages may display clearly labelled estate sponsorship. Sponsorship is not inserted into private photos, account responses, authentication responses or private API and MCP results.
We do not publish your private library or use it for advertising profiles. An application you approve or a person you share with may keep their own copy under their own practices. Contact us for information about the providers and transfer safeguards relevant to your account.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or a portable copy of your personal information. We may need to verify your identity. The Information Commissioner’s Office explains these rights. You can complain to us and, if unresolved, to the ICO.
Contact [email protected] for support, privacy requests, account closure or complaints. Please describe the request without sending a password, access token or private photo.
